The Won Nyaci of Lango, His Highness Eng. Dr. Moses Michael Odongo Okune, on Thursday joined the Ateker fraternity for this year’s cultural festival.
The Lango Paramount chief Odongo Okune, joined the Ateker cultural celebrations in Moroto.
This cultural week brings together the Ateker group from Kenya, Ethiopia, South Sudan and Uganda.
The Turukana, Toposa, the Karimojong, the Ateso, the Kumam, the Nyangatom etc were all fully represented, and Eng. Dr. Odongo Okune with his team represented Lango.
The event is an annual festival that often see many flock the venue and this time round, several villages in grater Karamoja land has seen children left alone at home as adults were ferries away in trucks and buses for the festival.
